In Basti, Gonda, Bahraich, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Barabanki and Suryavanshi of Ayodhya, coming to the 84 Kosi area of Ayodhya, there are paternal sacrifices. There is another recognition behind this. Bharat had taken the vow that if Ram did not return, he would give up his life here. That is why he had made big chita here. When Ram came back, this place was made a lake. According to the evidence, the Bharatkund temple was constructed by King Darshan Singh in the 19th century. Here the underground temple is the center of attraction.

https://www.jagran.com/uttar-pradesh/faizabad-bharat-kund-change-look-17202463.html https://www.youtube.com/ayodhyacorner

Nandigram Bharatkund: After Lord Rama's exile, Ram's unhappy Anuj Bharat left Chitrakoot to renounce the palace of Ayodhya and bring Ram back. But when Shri Ram talked of returning to the exile after 14 years of exile. So Bharat took the pledge of Shri Ram to run the political palace of Ayodhya. Bharat ji returned from Chitrakoot but without staying in the palace, staying in the woods like his brother Shriram, started making a cave like an ascetic, looking at the king's house. Here Bharat ji built a kund for bathing meditation which is described in the Puranas as Bharatkunda.

During the war in Lanka when Lakshman was fainted by the arrows of Meghnad, Hanuman ji was sent to bring Sanjivani Buti. Due to the lack of identification of the boot, he took up the hill and headed towards Lanka. When they were going from Ayodhya, for a while, the whole area was covered with darkness. When looking at the sky, Bharat ji turned the arrows in fear of a demon power being attacked by Ayodhya. Because of the arrows, Hanuman ji fell down with the mountain.
